Community Litter Clean-up this Sunday!
Many people find that there is more litter in our neighborhood than —— fill in the blank. Some feel it was better before or that other neighbourhoods do better. It is hard to pinpoint one cause (heavy wind, “big gulps” plastic containers, increased take out since Covid, not to mention carelessness and old habits). We can complain, look the other way or do something about it. To give us a nudge, the Evanston, Creekside Community Association is putting together a litter pick up morning on Sunday, June 8 at 10 am meet at the Community Park (115 Evanston Drive). Bags and gloves are provided. Come for an hour or two, bring friends, meet some people and feel better about helping our community feel like the home we want it to be. This is just the beginning of doing better together

Naming Survey for Evanston Middle School*
The Calgary Board of Education is currently building a middle school in the community of Evanston. A school name recommendation committee has been set up to recommend names to the Board of Trustees. The committee has shortlisted three possible names and wants your input before making a recommendation to the Board.
Please complete the school naming survey online by midnight on Thursday, June 5. A decision on the new school’s name will be made soon.
